Warm greetings and welcome to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka.
Started in the year 1996, to converge the training of healthcare professionals of all disciplines, the University has grown as a model hub of educational aspirations of generations of students. We are not just a university, but a microcosm of universe itself, amplified to embrace the hopes and dreams of a million youngsters.
Our resolve and fortitude get stretched and tested in times of crisis, and those who can overcome the repression of arduous times emerge as the beacons of hope for future. This precisely is how the university has emerged from the dark days of COVID 19 Pandemic. I am aware of the perils of making a premature declaration that we are out of woods, but it is a well-deserved complement to all the stakeholders of University that we have been exceedingly resilient in facing this calamity.
We need to bring more ideas and operationalise more tangible actions to face the future that is still uncertain and mired with precarious pathways. I am sure that a unified effort and coordinated teamwork with trust about ourselves and among ourselves will be our guardrails and shields.
I call upon all the leaders of our university system – and this includes the students also – to share their valuable thoughts, experiences, and credible solutions to not only tide over the current crisis, but to create a framework for future.
Thank you all.
